The Smart ForFour

Smart Forfour

Even though I hardly like this car I thought it might be a good car to start with as Smarts are basically unique. Mercedes own  Smart. Untill 2004 Smart had only had two cars out the Smart ForTwo that is still in production since 1998. They also had the Smart Roadster a cheap sport car that was in production for three years, 2003-2006. Everyone thought that Smarts where tiny little cars for singles and maybe a friend. But then they brought out the Smart ForFour that was in production for 2 years, 2004-2006. This was Smarts biggest car ever a 5 door hatchback. The sales brochures states that the interior "is designed around the concept of a lounge"; to test this, Top Gear presenters James May and Richard Hammond spent 24 hours inside the Forfour. They said it was a nice place to be in but they would not buy the car due to its high price compared to its rivals. They also brought out an eletric version of the Smart ForFour. The Smart ForFour was optional to 4-5 seats. I suppose this makes it a family car, But in my opinion it has lost its style it is still a small 5 door hatchback but I would rather have the Smart ForTwo.

Why do they keep on making cars and then chopping there roofs off ?

Fiat 500

How can they even claim that it is a convertable all that it is is a Fiat 500 with a long Sun roof. The Cheapist model starts at £11,300 and the most expensive is £14,100.

Bugatti Veryron

A CONVERTABLE THEY MUST BE MAD. The fastest road legal car is now available as a convertable. The Bugatti Veyrons Top Speed is 253 MPH (Miles per Hour.) Its a nice car but my problem is WHY. If your cruising around the country at 250 mph Amazingly with the roof down all your hair would come  off your head. Maybe you think its a nice car who cares what anyone says about it well maybe you might not like it anymore because this comes with a bill of £921233 a lot of money. WHY

Rolls-Royce Phantom

The Rolls-Royce Phantom is already out, but the convertible will be coming out in 2010. The Phantom is a nice expencive car a luxury fit for the Queen. There are lots of bits been hand made. The Rolls-Royce Phantom is the highest price Rolls-Royce ever with a price tag of £305,000. It has 340 horse power.  It does 0-60 MPH in under 6 seconds. The car is lovley but why have it in a convertable. Spend £305000 on a car and you can only use the car on sunny days.

Volvo

I am going to compare a 1990's Volvo 940 with a modern Volvo the Volvo C30.

Volvo 940

1992-1993 Volvo 940 sedan (US)

The Volvo 940 was in production for 8 years 1990-1998. the Volvo 940 was available in a 4-door saloon or a 5-door estate. This car was brilliant if you bought it 2nd hand. WHY because if you bought it brand new from volvo you would know what it came with electric sunroof electric windows etc. But if you bought it 2nd hand you would find all these suprises like a folding down car seat in the back of the seats or electric sunroof bags under or heated seats etc. I don't know the exact price brand new but i would guess it would be £5,000-£10,000. Now you could get one on ebay for £50-£500. The problem is this Volvo is heavy and is expensive to run £180 for tax and £70 to fill it up with petrol.

Volvo C30

2008 Volvo C30 T5 (US)

The Volvo C30 was produced in 2006 and is still in production. It is a 3 door hatchback, 4 seat small family car. This a nice styled car and not to heavy it is cheap to run. prices start at £15,495.

Its price Vs luxury.
